Enter the world of the rich and famous, the aristocracy, the jetsetters
and the champagne sipping high society coterie. As a distinguished
member of the exclusive ‘International Wine Connoisseur Society’
you find yourself visiting a celebrated and romantic vineyard, surrounded
by succulent, ripe grapes dripping off the vines. (Also themed to
70’s, 80’s etc)

As a distinguished member of the ‘International Traveller’s
Club’, you find yourself (in platforms and flares) in a tropical
paradise. The Club is known for is holidays with a difference. How
about inopportune murder, an unpropitious theft and an array of
skulduggery? Also can be set in modern times.

“MURDER AT SEA” & “PLATFORM 7, DESTINATION:
MURDER” - Gangster
Enter the world of 1920-30’s gangsters, flappers and illegal
bootlegging. The wealthy Italian entrepreneur, Concetta Foccacia,
has invited you, her family and work associates on the family launch.
When this notorious family gets together tensions are apt to mount
and more than sparks fly! (Fictional setting – Ship or Orient
Express train)

MURDER AT HIGH NOON - Western
The likes of Magnificent Seven, Butch Cassidy & the Sundance
Kid would feel mighty comfortable in this adventure of killing and
scheming. The sun is setting in the azure sky, the cacti are blooming,
a coyote is howling in the distance and a Mexican sleeps calmly
sheltered by his sombrero. But be afraid because all is not as it
seems! So load up you gun, saddle up your horse and ride over the
range for some treachery and deception.
SANTA’S JAUNT TO PARADISE
And you thought Santa was a good guy! He leaves more than a bag
of goodies when he strays into the clandestine gathering of the
distinguished and eccentric ‘International Traveller’s
Club’. And you thought it would just be another Christmas
in paradise!

DESERT
DECADENCE – Arabian Nights Theme
Reminiscent of ancient sites in places such as Morocco and Egypt
you embark on mysterious journey of desert fantasies. It is now
‘midnight in the oasis’. The sun is setting in the azure
sky, the date palms are swaying, your camels are in bed and a belly
dancer is enticing you with scrumptious Arabian delicacies. But
be afraid because all is not as it seems! So strap on your sabre,
saddle up your camel and ride over the dunes for some treachery

“SURFS UP” Beach Party (Modern easy costume)
Grab your thongs, your board shorts and your sarongs for some beachside
antics and some good old mystery and intrigue. The Byrone Bay Surf
Club is holding its annual fundraising beachside party. Everyone
will be there, from the lifesavers, the beach babes, the surf club
members, a few hippies and the corporate/development big guns. No
doubt tensions will mount as interests collide. This you can be
sure of, there will be great music, gorgeous people (yes, that’s

 How
and why they work
Prior to the Event
Way Out Theatreworks™ will meet with you/the client to tailor the
event to your needs. At this meeting we will handpick the major
characters/suspects. The plot revolves around these characters.
The people who play these parts need to be more extroverted. All
the other guests have characters also. There is the main/larger
plot and there are sub-plots such “affairs, art smuggling,
political intrigue and so on”. This means that everyone, no
matter how big or small the groups, is involved.
At the event
When the guests arrive, in character, the Way Out Theatreworks™ team
puts them into their allotted teams (these can be chosen by the
client or WOT). The room full of a sea of faces is now reduced
to a comfortable team. Thus allowing the quieter folk not to feel
overwhelmed but free to contribute and interact in a way they are
most comfortable. Also good for teamwork.
The Way Out Theatreworks™ team (between 2 to 6 people depending on
number of guests) facilitate the event. They are flexible and will
adapt their program to fit in with their guests. They are professional
actors and improvisers. Being skilled and experienced at this type
of event they can guide and motivate the guests to interact and
participate. They perform scripted scenes which will entertain the
guests.
The event progresses
The scene is set; the plot meticulously unravels with lots of action
and some very surprising suspects! Clues emerge throughout the event
to assist you in solving the crime (or crimes). There are many twists
and turns, so keep you ears and eyes open but beware, there is a
killer in your midst! Before the mystery comes to a dramatic conclusion,
teams get to make their accusation. The suspects all step forward
and the murderer is finally revealed! Memories are created and connections
are made forever!
