“Prior to our event with Way Out Theatreworks™, we were experiencing personal conflicts throughout the workplace. Way Out Theatreworks™ murder mystery party incorporated wonderful team-building skills into the event, and it forced people to have to work in a team and to interact with each other. By the end of the night, all personal conflicts had been forgotten! Thank you so much to Way Out Theatreworks™ for a great night, and for helping staff members to form friendships and memories for life!”

“… an exceptional team
building event. The Murder Mystery was unique and proved an
excellent vehicle for us to problem solve and communicate
in a fun, exhilarating and challenging environment. The drama
workshop was very worthwhile, particularly the improvisation
section, encouraging our team to think laterally and ‘on
their feet’."

A
Day at the Races
No race day is complete without it’s Syndicates. Each
syndicate is made up of a jockey, strapper, socialite owners,
team banker, cheer squad and horse trainer. Not to mention
- a horse. But the race is yet to begin.
A lot of work goes on behind the scenes before each Race
Day, and this race is no exception. Each syndicate has a budget
for all their preparations, leaving, hopefully, enough left
over to make a decent bet. There are hats to be made for the
owner/socialites, the horse must be groomed and colours fixed,
the jockey must make him/herself fit for the arduous race
ahead and so on.
Before the great race begins, there is the highly glamorous
fashion parade. Once all are assembled the horses ‘odds’
are received, the all important bets must be made with the
‘official’ bookie. The excitement builds, there
is a buzz in the air and it is race time.
As the race is ‘called’ the tension builds…
emotions are running high as the owners and stable hands encourage
the jockey and his mount… Who will win? Have they prepared
the horse enough? No race is easy and nor is this one. Many
team challenges lay in the path of the syndicate, both mental…
some physical, most hilarious.
Once over the line, the winner and his/her horse is applauded
and showered with praises and a big cheque. Though there is
only one winner, all recognise that to participate is to be
a winner and all gladly celebrate with a glass of something
delicious!! Ah, another successful Race Day for all.
“It is very difficult to get 100% inclusion and satisfaction in a staff professional development workshop, but your team managed this which is a great credit to them.”
Judith Zagami, Registrar. Cleveland District State School.
“I just wanted to thank you
and your team who helped make our staff offsite a smooth and
problem free day. Everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly.”

Thank Heavens You're Here ... Improvisation Workshop
Reminiscent of the television show ‘Thank God you’re here’, ‘Thank Heavens…’ allows your staff to ‘go with the flow’, think out of the box, appreciate other’s way of thinking and have fun being a star! Participants will throw on a wig, a costume or be given a prop then put into a scenario where they must ‘play along’. Professional actors who are specialist in improvisation will guide, encourage and push participant’s boundaries.
Through the medium of Fun and Play participants will learn improved communication skills via their multiple senses; Sight, Sound, Gesture and Word. Becoming aware of your own impulses and thoughts participants will gain confidence through offering ideas and accepting others.
What will I gain? Participants will gain skills in developing self confidence, problem solving skills, improved communication skills and memory skills. Plus it’s a lot of fun.
“Thank you so much for helping out with our away weekend. I have been getting comments left right and centre about the Murder Mystery and the Thank Heavens You're Here! Everybody thought it was fantastic - and now they are asking me how I can beat that next year hehehe! Thank you again for the fantastic weekend - you guys did a great job!!”
